Doraleh Container Terminal
Doraleh Contrainer Terminal (DCT) offers world class facilities including:
- 1.2 millions TEU of handling capacity
- 1 050 meters of quay length
- 8 Super Post Panamax quay cranes
- 18 meters draught which allows DCT to accommodate the latest vessels
TheTerminal was inaugurated on the 7th of February 2009with capability of handling super Post Panamax container vessels such as Ivan Hoe of CMA CGM (9700 TEUs), Cosco Indian Ocean of Cosco Line (more than 10 700 TEUS) who were operated at Doraleh Container Terminal. The handling capacity will be extended to 3 millions TEU after the completion of Phase I.
Doraleh Container Terminal has implemented best practices which resulted in average crane productivity as high as 37 moves per gross crane hour which makes DCT to have the highest crane productivity of all ports in Africa and allows Shipping Lines to maintain their schedules and avoid costly delays.
