    As of Wednesday, April 8, 2020, Africa recorded a total of 10,646 confirmed cases of COVID-19 including 1,174 and 532 deaths. The continent is seriously affected by this pandemic which, of course, will also have a long lasting impact on its economy.

    But, China is the only country in the world to rescue the African countries affected by the virus.

    On Tuesday, April 7, DPFZA Chairman, Mr. Aboubaker Omar Hadi participated in a ceremony of donation of medical materials and equipment.

  • A donation of medical equipment to the Ministry of Health

    As part of the surge of solidarity, initiated by the President of the Republic, HE M Ismail Omar Guelleh, to eradicate the spread of Covid-19 in Djibouti, the Authority of Ports and Free Zones (GHIH) made a donation of medical equipment to the Ministry of Health.

  • Special badges for essential staff working

    Communiqué from the Ports and Free Zones Authority.
    The Ports and Free Zones Authority of Djibouti (APZFD) will put in place, starting tomorrow Saturday March 28, 2019, special badges for essential staff working for transit companies, shipping agencies, road carriers and other transport aids.
    The personnel of the companies, whose lists have been sent, will have to go to the offices of the APZFD, to take the photos and print the badge on Saturday March 28 to Tuesday March 31 from 10:00 to 16:00.

  • The Directorate of Customs and Indirect Rights has launched the process of integrating the customs system with the DPCS

    The Ports and Free Zones Authority and the Directorate of Customs and Indirect Rights have launched the process of integrating the customs system with the Djibouti Ports Community system (DPCS), thus allowing submission and completion of port formalities and customs through the DPCS platform alone, and contributing to the general government effort to contain the spread of COVID-19, by limiting the physical interactions of supply chain stakeholders.
