On the sidelines of the Intra-African Trade Fair Conference (IATF2023) in Cairo, the chairman of DPFZA, Mr.Aboubaker Omar Hadi had a productive meeting with  the Chairman of Arab contractors, Mr.Ahmed Mostafa El Assar. The discussions primarily focused on the way forward for the RN 18 road construction (Djibouti-Hol Hol-Dasbiyo-Ali Sabieh).

At the Intra-African Trade Fair Conference (IATF2023) in Cairo, the Chairman of DPFZA, Mr.Aboubaker Omar Hadi, had the honor to meet His Excellency Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, Chairman of the IATF2023 Advisory Council and former President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

On November 11th,2023, in Cairo at Al Manara International Conference Center, Mr.Aboubaker Omar Hadi, the Chairman of DPFZA, held a meeting with Mrs.Awani, Executive Vice President of the Intra-African Trade Bank. The discussions revolved around Afreximbank's investment in the Red Sea Bunkering oil storage facility in Djibouti. Additionally, there was a strong expression of Afreximbank's interest in participating in the funding of the road construction project RN18. The meeting also included the relaunch of discussions on financing of two aircraft purchase for Air Djibouti.

On November 9th,2023, DPFZA Chairman, Mr. Aboubaker Omar Hadi, and the CEO of SGTD, Mr.Abdillahi Adaweh Sigad, welcomed  at Red Sea World, Mr.Gouled Ahmed Youssouf, the General Manager of Djibouti Customs.

The discussions centered around strategies to facilitate the recent expansion of SGTD activities.

His Excellency Mr.Hassan Houmed, Minister of Infrastructure and Equipment, and Mr.Aboubaker Omar Hadi, Chairman of  Djibouti Ports and Free Zones Authority, had the honor of welcoming, at Red Sea World, a high-level Ethiopian delegation led by His Excellency Dr. Alemu Sime, Minister of Transport and Logistics.
