  • Djibouti, the only country predicted by the IMF to show economic resilience during the Covid 19 crisis.

The IMF, in its report on the challenges posed by the Covid-19 and published on April, 15th, raised worrisome perspective as many countries in the MENA region will be falling into recession.

  • Annoucement from Djibouti Ports and Free Zones Authority

Ethiopia export cargo to the world gated in Djibouti Ports will be granted Free Terminal Handling Charges for 60 days, from Thursday, April 16th.

We hope the Horn of Africa and the Red Sea will be fully open to business with the  world by then.
We encourage international shipping lines (since export is FOB), inland transporters (railways and road transport companies) and freight forwarders to make a goodwill gesture as well: let us pull on the same direction.

Export revenues boost the economy and generate more import volume.
