Chairman and CEO of APMT discuss areas of cooperation in port industry

Following the panel discussion on the Resilience of African supply chains, the chairman met with Mr. Igor Van Den Essen, Regional Managing Director for Africa and Europe at APM Terminals MAERSK.

They further deepened the discussion on the subject address of the panel with the visionary Land Bridge Across Africa: a Strategic route linking the Atlantic to the Indian Ocean (Djibouti–Ethiopia–South Sudan–Central African Republic–Cameroon–Nigeria), boosting intra-African trade, economic integration, and reducing reliance on maritime chokepoints, in alignment with AfCFTA goals.
