Chairman Hadi Bids Farewell to Japanese Ambassador H.E. HARA Keiichi

Yesterday, the Chairman, Mr. Aboubaker Omar Hadi, received at Red Sea World H.E. Mr. HARA Keiichi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Republic of Djibouti, as part of the Ambassador’s farewell tour following the conclusion of his mandate in Djibouti.

Ambassador HARA expressed his sincere gratitude to the Chairman for the support extended to him throughout his tenure. During their discussions, the Chairman and the Ambassador reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening economic cooperation.

 They agreed on the importance of continuing efforts to attract more Japanese companies to establish a presence within Djibouti’s free zones, positioning Djibouti as a strategic gateway for trade with COMESA member states and the broader African continent.

The Chairman also took this opportunity to thank the Ambassador for Japan’s generous support in financing the 21-kilometre section of the RN1 road linking Galafi and Digirou to Djibouti’s ports , which is a key infrastructure project aimed at enhancing logistics and service delivery.
