The Chairman held a meeting with the CEO of Ethio-Djibouti Railway (EDR)

The chairman held a meeting yesterday with, Tekele Uma Banti CEO of Ethio-Djibouti Railway (EDR).
The connectivity to build a railway line of 17 Km from Damerjog to Nagad was discussed. Ethio-Djibouti Railway proposed to construct this rail line. GHIH's feasibility study of the project with a CAPEX of $90 million ($ 5 million per km) was presented at the meeting.

The rail connexion to Awash Oil Depot on the rail main line is of paramount importance.

The meeting also focused on the development of dry ports at Nagad (Djibouti) and Indode (Ethiopia) on joint-venture between GHIH and Ethio-Djibouti Railway.

Ethio-Djibouti Railway expressed interest in acquiring a stake in the oil depot at the Damerjog Industrial Park.
