Chairman Meets AFC CEO to Deepen Infrastructure Cooperation
On the sidelines of the Africa CEO Forum, which opened today in Abidjan, the Chairman held a meeting with Mr. Samaila Zubairu, President and CEO of Africa Finance Corporation (AFC).
Africa Finance Corporation (AFC), with total assets of USD 14 billion, is a pan-African multilateral institution focused on financing and developing infrastructure across the continent.
The discussion focused on several areas of cooperation. Chief among them was the 60 MW windfarm project at Ghoubet, a landmark renewable energy initiative co-invested by AFC alongside GHIH, CFM, and FMO under the Red Sea Power (RSP) consortium.
The Chairman and CEO of AFC also explored new investment opportunities in key infrastructure sectors, particularly ports, airports, and free zones, aimed at enhancing regional connectivity.
Additionally, the Chairman and Mr. Zubairu discussed Djibouti’s share subscription to AFC Capital, marking a significant step in deepening Djibouti’s engagement with the Corporation.
