Chairman Participates as Keynote Speaker in the Horn of Africa Ports & Maritime Forum
On the sideline of the 35th edition of the Intermodal Africa 2026 going to happen on 11th of February 2026 under the patronage of the President of the Republic H.E Ismail Omar Guelleh, Chairman participated as a keynote speaker to the Horn of Africa Ports & Maritime Stakeholder Technical Engagement Forum, organized by the Port Management Association of Eastern and Southern Africa, under the title ‘Strengthening Regional Dialogue, Connectivity and Operational Collaboration’.
The mandate of the Port Management Association of Eastern and Southern Africa is to promote cooperation, knowledge exchange and capacity development across the maritime sector.
During the forum, the General Secretary Col. Andre Ciseau stated that the convening of this Forum reflects the collective commitment of the PMAESA members to strengthen regional dialogue where it matters most at the operational level.
Col Andre Ciseau commanded the sustained efforts of The government of Djibouti and DPFZA in developing world-class port and logistics infrastructure, promoting efficiency and connectivity and providing stability in a region that is critical to both regional and global trade.
Chairman highlighted in his address that in the spirit of shared responsibility and regional vision of PMAESA member states, we can be confident that our efforts will yield more interconnected, efficient, and resilient maritime and logistics chains for the region’s benefit.
During this forum, key topics are going to be discussed such as Regional Port & Maritime Landscape in the Horn of Africa, Enhancing Port Efficiency, Digitalisation, and Operational Collaboration and Regional Integration, Hinterland Connectivity, and Trade Facilitation.
