A donation of medical equipment to the Ministry of Health

As part of the surge of solidarity, initiated by the President of the Republic, HE M Ismail Omar Guelleh, to eradicate the spread of Covid-19 in Djibouti, the Authority of Ports and Free Zones (GHIH) made a donation of medical equipment to the Ministry of Health.
Worth over DJF 318,776,510, these materials include, among others, 70 respirators, 5 PCR systems, 50016 diagnostic kit, 135 patient monitors and 135 syringe pumps. The first batch having already been delivered on March 31, the next batch is scheduled to arrive on April 7 and the rest in the weeks to come. Maritime and air logistics are organized by the Djibouti Ports and Free Zones Authority.

The Ministry of Health, through the Central Purchase of Medicines and Essential Materials (CAMME) has also placed other orders for essential materials and equipment. In order to deal with delivery emergencies, maritime and port logistics were provided, arranged and organized, from start to finish, by the Djibouti Ports and Free Zones Authority.

In order to better protect its personnel, the Port of Djibouti SA has placed a major order for protective equipment, including, among other things, 100,000 masks, 300 PPE, 20,000 gloves, etc. All of these essential materials will be delivered on April 7 in Djibouti.
