DPFZA Explores means of cooperation with the Port of Tanzania

The Chairman received at Red Sea World H.E Mr. INNOCENT EUGENE SHIYO, Ambassador of the United Republic of Tanzania to Djibouti.

During the meeting, the Ambassador expressed strong interest in fostering cooperation and building synergies between Djibouti Ports and Free Zones Authority and the Port of Tanzania.

Discussions also touched on the potential export of salt through the Port of Tanzania to serve landlocked countries, noting that Tanzania’s annual import amounts to 200,000 metric tons ( USD 10 million).

The Chairman and the Ambassador further emphasized the importance of investing in and strengthening human capital to support sustainable growth.
