The Ethiopian Minister of Transport and Logistics on an official visit to Djibouti

H.E Mr. Hassan Houmed Ibrahim, Minister of Infrastructures and Equipment, and Mr.  
Aboubaker Omar Hadi , Chairman of the Djibouti Ports & Free Zones Authority
,welcomed H.E.M. Alemu Semie, Minister of Transport and Logistics of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.       

As part of his first official visit to Djibouti, the Minister and his delegation were received at the Djibouti International Exhibition Center.                                           

 A presentation on Djibouti’s ports, parks, and city, as well as the transformation project of the old port, was shown to this highly important Ethiopian delegation.

During a meeting, discussions centered around topics such as the multimodal transport, the corridor road, and the overall commercial trade between the two brotherly countries.                                            

The event was attended by the Ambassadors of both countries

The next day, the Djiboutian Minister of Infrastructures and Equipments, H.E Mr Hassan Houmed Ibrahim and the DPFZA Chairman, Mr Aboubaker @ Omar_Hadi, accompanied the Ethiopian Minister of Transport and Logistics, H.E Mr Alemu Semie for a visit to our ports infrastructures.

The visit started at the oil jetty, the oil stockage zone and the Exhibition Center, which are part of the DDIP project. 

In the VIP room, the two sides exchanged focused on the Djibouti Damerjog Industrial Park and Djibouti Damerjog Liquid Bulk as well as ways to cooperate in term of ports infrastructures.

H.E Mr Semie and his delegation then went to the Nagad train station where they were welcomed by the General Manager.

The visit continued at the SGTD and DMP where managers of each of these ports gave detailed explanations to the delegation.

The Ambassadors of Djibouti and that of Ethiopia were also present during this visit.
