CHAIRMAN ENGAGES IN DISCUSSIONS WITH THE CHINESE AMBASSADOR

The Chairman received this morning at Red Sea World, His Excellency Mr. Hu Bin, Ambassador of China to Djibouti.

The discussions focused on the China-Africa Cooperation Forum (FOCAC) held last September, during which China committed $50 billion in financial support to Africa (among other things for infrastructure), over the next three years.

Djibouti Ports Authority and Free Zones submitted 5 projects aimed at positioning Djibouti as the regional hub for logistics.

They also exchanged on enhancing the operational management of the Ethiopian-Djibouti Railway (EDR).

The Chairman and the Ambassador reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening their cooperation.
