Chairman Hadi receives the Ambassador of the Republic of Djibouti to the Kingdom of Morocco.

On December 29th,2023 at Red Sea World, DPFZA Chairman, Mr. Aboubaker Omar Hadi, warmly welcomed the Ambassador of the Republic of Djibouti to the Kingdom of Morocco, H.E. Mr. Mohamed Douhour Hersi.

Given the Republic of Djibouti's substantial advancements in port facilities and free zones since 2017, including the ongoing construction of the Damerjog oil terminal (DL.BP) expected to be completed by early 2024, there is a pressing need to equip qualified personnel for efficient maritime operations. Notably, the Autonomous Ports of Tadjourah and Ghoubet, along with the operational DMP, underscore the importance of training programs. These initiatives aim to prepare future merchant navy officers, deck and engineering officers, and specialized executives in the maritime domain.

To achieve this goal, providing appropriate training is crucial, fostering the skills required to manage operations within these ports and facilities. These training programs serve as a significant asset for the port community, playing a pivotal role in enhancing operational capabilities, ensuring infrastructure efficiency, and nurturing the next generation of maritime professionals.

A message conveying these objectives has been communicated to H.E. Mr. Mohamed Douhour Hersi, intending to transmit it to specialized Moroccan institutions, such as the Casablanca Maritime Academy, seeking collaboration and support in this important endeavor.
