Djibouti participates the Climat Forum of COP 28.
On December 2nd 2023,on the sidelines of the Business and Philanthropy Climat Forum of COP 28, Chairman of DPFZA, Mr. Aboubaker Omar Hadi attended alongside Djibouti delegation to the National Statements of H.E Mr. Ismaïl Omar Guelleh, President of the Republic of Djibouti, highlighting the country's commitment to combat climate change, specifically mentioning the 60-megawatt wind farm, developed by Red Sea Power, a consortium of private investors led by the Panafrican fund African Finance Corporation, as a key national initiative towards the clean energy transition. The grid-connected wind power offsets in average 21 000 tons of CO2 on monthly basis since September 2023.
