Port of Ghoubet
Inaugurated in June 2017, the Port of Ghoubet is dedicated to the export of salt, and part of the Lake Assal Mineral Terminal Project. The Port of Ghoubet was designed to further develop the infrastructure and jobs in the North of Djibouti. Its state-of-the-art facilities include:
- Accommodates vessels with up to 100,000 DWT and yearly traffic of up to 5 million tons
- 1 linear quay of 400m length and 15m draft
- 4 docks for cargo storage
- 2 salt factories are under development near the Port
- Total investment of $64 million
