  • Chairman receives a Rwandan delegation as part of the Djibouti-Rwanda Joint Commission Meetings

    As part of the Djibouti–Rwanda Joint Commission meetings, the Chairman received at Djibouti International Free Trade Zone, a high-level Rwandan ministerial delegation led by Honorable Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Olivier J.P Nduhungirehe and His Excellency Abdoulkader Houssein Omar,Djibouti’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation-Government Spokesperson.

  • DPFZA Participates in the 30th General Assembly of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport

    Djibouti Ports & Free Zones Authority participated in the 30th General Assembly of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, held on the sidelines of the 38th Session of the Arab Ministers of Transport meeting at the Al Manara Conference and Exhibition Center.

    During the General Assembly, the Djibouti Regional Maritime Academy project was officially presented and received unanimous approval from the member states.

  • Chairman receives the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan

    The Chairman received at Red Sea World Her Excellency Ms. Aqsa Nawaz, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

    Discussions between the Chairman and Her Excellency Ms. Aqsa Nawaz focused on ways to strengthen trade routes between Pakistan and Djibouti.

    Pakistan benefits from preferential trade agreements with Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, and other regional partners. Goods transported from Pakistan can reach Djibouti within four to five days through Gwadar Port. Gwadar Port, offers direct access to Central Asia.

  • The M/V Heilan Bright and the M/V Bay berth at the Port of Tadjourah

    The Port of Tadjourah is operating day and night. Mv Heilan Bright 32 144 MT steel & equipements  and Mv Bay 10, 9246 MT steel rebars are alongside Tadjourah port. They started the discharging operations.

    The investment on this state of the art, deep sea Port -14.5m chart datum, results from the vision of the President of the Republic H.E Ismail Omar Guelleh to decentralize the economy all over the country.

  • Chairman Meets with UNDP Resident Representative

    The Chairman met with Ms. Alessandra Roccasalvo, Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to the Republic of Djibouti.

    The discussions centered on the importance of training and capacity-building for youth as an effective means of poverty alleviation. The chairman stated that it will be achieved through education (skills) and job creation. The Chairman highlighted Djibouti Ports and Free Zones Authority’s continued commitment to empowering young people through education and professional development.
