  • DPFZA Participates to the Expo Osaka 2025

    As part of his mission to Japan, the Chairman took part in the Expo Osaka 2025, on the occasion of the National Day of the Republic of Djibouti. The delegation led by H.E. Mr. Mohamed Said Warsama, Minister of Trade of Djibouti, and H.E. Mr. Ibrahim Bileh Doualeh, Ambassador of Djibouti to Japan.

    The Chairman was welcomed by Mr. Koga Yuichiro, State Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry and State Minister of the Cabinet Office, along with several distinguished Japanese figures including:

    -Mr. Tetsuro Yano, President of the Association for African Economic Development;

  • DPFZA Receives GCL Chairman to Discuss Regional Energy Cooperation

    Djibouti Ports and Free Zones Authority (DPFZA) received the Chairman of GCL, Mr. Gongshan Zhu, and his accompanying delegation.

    As part of their visit, the GCL team visited Damerjog Industrial Park, where the delegation visited the oil jetty and the industrial showroom, providing a firsthand overview of the park’s extensive capabilities and investment potential.

  • DPFZA Provides Assistance to Survivors of M/V MINERVAGRACHT

    Djibouti Ports and Free Zones Authority reports that on Tuesday, September 30, we provided assistance to survivors from the attacked vessel M/V MINERVAGRACHT, sailing under the Dutch flag.

    The vessel’s last port of call was Durban, before calling at the Doraleh Multipurpose Port (DMP). Its next scheduled destination was Jebel Ali.

    The M/V MINERVAGRACHT was carrying 1,077.81 metric tonnes of general cargo, including vehicles, trailers, and containers. The vessel sank in the golf of Aden with no human fatalities.

  • DPFZA Expands Fleet with Two New-Generation Tugboats

    Djibouti Ports and Free Zones Authority is pleased to announce that it has reinforced its maneuvering capacity through the Harbor master’s office with the acquisition of two new-generation tugboats for Tadjourah Port and the Damergog Oil Terminal.

    The Saad Warsama Dirieh and Farah Hassan Ragueh have officially joined our fleet! These advanced ASD 360° DP offshore tugboats are equipped with a bollard pull capacity of 70 tons and an engine power of 5,500 horsepower.

  • The Chairman Attends Graduation Ceremony at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport

    The Chairman of Djibouti Ports & Free Zones Authority, Mr. Aboubaker Omar Hadi, together with the Ambassador of the Republic of Djibouti to the Arab Republic of Egypt, H.E. Ahmed Ali Barreh, attended the graduation ceremony of the 2025 class of cadets from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, presided over by the President of the Academy, H.E. Prof. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar.
