A strong APZFD delegation visited Puntland

A large delegation from the APZFD went to Puntland for a working visit of a few days.
Composed, among others, of the Advisor to the President of the APZFD, Mr. Mohamed Aden Waberi (John), of the Port Commander, Mr. Mohamed Moussa Abar and of the Maritime Pilots, this visit comes within the framework of a construction project of a deepwater port in Garacad, located in Puntland on the Indian Ocean coast with
1,150 meters of protective dyke, 2 quays over 400 meters of linear, a quay for dhows and trawlers, 75 hectares of storage area for general goods, containers, petroleum products and any other product.
Cooperation with Puntland in the port area dates back several years, since the years 2006/2007 when the APZFD had carried out studies for the Port of Bossasso concerning port bathymetry, dredging, pricing, aids to navigation as well than towing and training on-board personnel.
