KSA to utilize Djibouti as a gateway to Africa
DPFZA Chairman received at Red Sea World, a high-level Saudi delegation led by the Under-Secretary of Economy and Planning for International Economic Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, H.E Mr. Albara Al-Askandarani Bassim.
Discussions centered on key initiatives, including:
• The establishment of KSA business manufacturing companies in the Djibouti International Free Trade Zone (DIFTZ), which will benefit from the pre-positioning of Saudi products within the free zone and redistributed within the region and beyond on CIF basis.
-The strengthening of the connexion between Jeddah-Jizan and Djibouti Ports that would increase the volume of trade, leveraging the Multimodal sea-air transport that already spans 28 cities across 24 countries in the African Continent.
• The innovative Trans-African Railway initiative, a land bridge connecting the Red Sea, Indian Ocean to the Atlantic, fostering regional integration and promoting Intra-African Trade.
H.E Mr. Albara Al-Askandarani Bassim visited the Damerjog oil jetty, the DDID showroom, the Doraleh Multipurpose Port (DMP), SGTD, and the Djibouti International Free Trade Zone (DIFTZ).
