Meeting between the Chairman and the Ethiopian Minister of Mines
Yesterday the Chairman received at Red Sea World, an important Ethiopian delegation led by H.E. Mr. Habtamu Tegegn, Minister of Mines of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.
The discussions focused on the dispatch of heavy equipments for a fertilizer production factory in the Ogaden Region, specifically in Godeh.
The Chairman and the Ethiopian Minister also addressed the logistics and handling of over-dimensional cargo (ODC) required for the Dangote fertilizer project traveling on the Djibouti Corridor to Eastern Ethiopia.
Djibouti Ports & Free Zones Authority (DPFZA), through Djibouti Multipurpose Port (DMP), highlighted its capacity to efficiently handle over-dimensional cargo (ODC), including shipments weighing 400 tons, measuring 54 meters in length, and 12 meters in diameter.
During the visit, the Minister toured the quays and railway facilities at both the Société de Gestion du Terminal à Djibouti (SGTD) and the Djibouti Multipurpose Port (DMP).
The delegation was provided with detailed briefings on the ports' operational processes and strategic capabilities. They were impressed with the quality of our Ports handling capability.
