Meeting between DPFZA and Djibouti Customs.

On November 9th,2023, DPFZA Chairman, Mr. Aboubaker Omar Hadi, and the CEO of SGTD, Mr.Abdillahi Adaweh Sigad, welcomed  at Red Sea World, Mr.Gouled Ahmed Youssouf, the General Manager of Djibouti Customs.

The discussions centered around strategies to facilitate the recent expansion of SGTD activities.

Furthermore, in the course of the meeting, Djibouti Ports and Free Zones Authority and Djibouti Customs reached an agreement to grant authorization to SGTD Terminal for expanding its storage capacity beyond the terminal's perimeter, including the potential utilization of Inland Container Depots (ICD).

The Inland Container Depots (ICD) is expected to capitalize on its customs bonded site status. With the enhanced storage capacity and the commissioning of the four new Malacca Max STS, Doraleh Terminal is expected to achieve record-high volumes in 2024.
