  • The signing ceremony of an MoU between the port of Tadjourah and Red Sea Gateway Terminal International Limited

    Yesterday, at Djibouti International Trade Tower, a significant milestone was achieved as the Chairman of Djibouti Ports and Free Zones Authority presided over the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Port of Tadjourah and Red Sea Gateway Terminal International Limited.

    The MoU was signed by Kamil Mohamed Gorah, Chairman of the Port of Tadjourah and
    Gagan Seksaria, Director of Investments at Red Sea Gateway Terminal International Limited.

  • The official signing of the MoU for the Djibouti corridor

    As part of the high-level ministerial meeting held over the past few days, the chairman participated yesterday evening in the official signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the Djibouti corridor, also known as "the Djibouti-Ethiopia-South Sudan-Uganda (DESSU)" corridor.


    This Memorandum of Understanding aims to enhance regional integration by establishing a land corridor that connects the participating countries, promoting cooperation and economic growth.

  • Establishing the corridor Djibouti-Kampala

    The Chairman participated in the high-level ministerial meeting between the Ministers of Transport from Djibouti, South Sudan, Ethiopia, and Uganda.


    The meeting focused on discussions regarding the establishment of a Djibouti Corridor Management Authority, aimed at enhancing regional connectivity and trade facilitation through land and waterways corridors.

  • Preparing the upcoming ministerial session on the Corridor Djibouti-Uganda

    Yesterday at Red Sea World, the Chairman received, H.E. Hon. Simon Mijok Mijak, Minister of Roads and Bridges of South Sudan and H.E Hassan Houmed Ibrahim, Minister of Transport and Equipment of Djibouti.

    The meeting forms part of the preparations for the upcoming ministerial session on the Corridor Management Authority, a regional initiative involving Djibouti, Ethiopia, South Sudan, and Uganda.

  • Strengthening trade ties between Djibouti and Ethiopia’s Somali regional state

    At Red Sea World, the Chairman of Djibouti Ports and Free Zones Authority, received a delegation from the Somali Regional State of Ethiopia.

    The delegation was led by Hon. Abdihakim Sheikh Hassen Ali, Head of the Office of Trade and Transport of the Somali Regional State.

    The delegation also included the following officials:

    •⁠  ⁠Ahmed Reshid Abdile, Head of the Investment and Industry Bureau

    •⁠  ⁠Shafi Ahmed Mealin, Mayor of Jigjiga

    •⁠  ⁠Ahmed Welli Hassan, President of the Chamber of Commerce.
