On the sideline of the 35th edition of the Intermodal Africa 2026 going to happen on 11th of February 2026 under the patronage of the President of the Republic H.E Ismail Omar Guelleh, Chairman participated as a keynote speaker to the Horn of Africa Ports & Maritime Stakeholder Technical Engagement Forum, organized by the Port Management Association of Eastern and Southern Africa, under the title ‘Strengthening Regional Dialogue, Connectivity and Operational Collaboration’.

Chairman received Mr. Jacques de Lajugie, Head of Mission at the French Treasury led by His Excellency Jerome Bresson, Ambassador of the French Republic to Djibouti at the Djibouti International Exhibition Center, Red Sea World.

The meeting focused on the progress achieved in securing financing for the New Bicidley Airport project. The French delegation reaffirmed their strong commitment to this strategic project that benefits from support at the highest level of the French Government.

The Chargée d’Affaires of the Republic of Poland to the Republic of Djibouti, Mrs. Ilona Korchut, was received at Djibouti International Exhibition Center, Red Sea World. The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss prospects for strengthening economic cooperation between Djibouti and Poland with a particular focus on maritime and trade collaboration.

On the sidelines of the Joint Transport Steering Committee (JTSC) on Türkiye–Africa Transport Connectivity, a bilateral meeting was held between the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Türkiye represented by Mr. Burak Aykan General Director for EU and Foreign Relations, and the Minister of Transport and Equipment of the Republic of Djibouti H.E. Hassan Houmed Ibrahim.

The Minister of Transport of Djibouti H.E Hassan Houmed opened the first meeting of the Joint Transport Steering Committee (JTSC) on Türkiye–Africa Transport Connectivity in the presence of the Ambassador of Djibouti in Turkiye H.E Aden Houssein, the Ambassador of Turkiye in Djibouti H.E Sabri Ergen and Chairman of Djibouti Ports and Free Zones Authority Aboubaker Omar Hadi.
