    On Monday, November 20th,2023, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Minister of Infrastructure H.E. Mr. Hassan Houmed, the Minister of Agriculture, Water, Fisheries, Livestock and Fishery Resources H.E. Mr. Mohamed Ahmed Awaleh, the Minister of Trade and Tourism H.E. Mr. Mohammed Warsama Dirieh, DPFZA Chairman, Mr. Aboubaker Omar Hadi and the Chairman of the Djibouti Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Youssouf Moussa Dawaleh, participated in the 5th session of the Djibouti-Saudi joint commission and the 2nd Djiboutian-Saudi business council.

  • An important Saudi delegation visits Djibouti.

    On Sunday, November 19th,2023, H.E. Mr. Hassan Houmad Ahmed, Djiboutian Minister of Transport and Equipment, and Mr. Aboubaker Omar Hadi, DPFZA Chairman welcomed, H.E. Engineer Salah Bin Nasser Al Jasser, Minister of Equipment and Transport of Saudi Arabia, at Djibouti Damerjog Industrial Park. 

    The delegation explored Djibouti's infrastructure, including the Liquid Bulk Port, SGTD, and DIFTZ.                            

  • The taking office of new port officers.

    DPFZA Chairman, Mr Aboubaker Omar Hadi, along with the Harbour Master, marked a momentous day as they attended the taking office of 17 officers of the Port Marine Service serving our Ports as Maritimes Pilots, sailings as deck officers and engineers on board Ships and all others marine related services.

    This is the second group, having completed a demanding five-year training program at the Arab Academy of Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) in Alexandria, Egypt, reaching a significant milestone. 

  • The cooperation between the Suez Canal Authority and Djibouti Ports & Free Zones Authority.

    Yesterday in Cairo, Mr. Aboubaker Omar hadi, the Chairman of DPFZA, met with Admiral Osama Mounir Rabie, the Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority. Discussions focused on the cooperation between the Suez Canal Authority and Djibouti Ports & Free Zones Authority. 

    Both parties agreed to grant the Suez Canal's preferential tariff for vessels calling Djibouti Ports for cargo transshipment.

  • the Chairman of DPFZA and CEO of Red Sea Bunkering signed an investment with Afreximbank

    On the sidelines of the Intra-African Trade Fair Conference (IATF2023) in Cairo, Mr. Aboubaker Omar Hadi, the Chairman of DPFZA, along with CEO of Red Sea Bunkering, Mr.Abdi Ismail Kahin engaged in a significant moment—the signing of $25 million trade finance and $10 million working capital agreement with Afreximbank—a premiere, without sovereign guarantee.

    Red Sea Bunkering mission is to supply fuel  bunkering to international shipping in Red Sea and Indian Ocean.
