On August 16th 2023, the DPFZA Chairman, Mr. Aboubaker Omar Hadi, along with Deputy Mayor of Liaocheng City, Mr. Liu Wenqiang and the Minister Counselor of the Ethiopian Embassy, Mr. Hayder, attended the Conference and Exhibition Centre Ceremony of the "Made in Liaocheng" Cross-border E-commerce Products.
On August 13th ,2023,The Chairman of DPFZA Mr. Aboubaker Omar Hadi received Dr.Mohamed Ashraf Iqbal at RED SEA WORLD, the Chairman of Waafi Bank based in Malaysia.
He also proposed that they can invest in real state, tourism, maritime and transport infrastructures and energy sectors.
Dr. Mohamed Ashraf also visited Djibouti's state-of-the-art ports and free zones infrastructures.
On August 7th ,2023 The Chairman of DPFZA Mr. Aboubaker Omar Hadi met with Mr. Mario Fernandez at RED SEA WORLD, the Chargé d’affaires of U.S. Embassy in Djibouti.
They discussed key aspects of Djibouti-America cooperation, FDI opportunities to invest in maritime, transport infrastructures and energy sectors.
After quick presentation of ongoing construction projects of Damerjog Liquid Bulk Port, the chargé d’affaires welcomed oil development projects in Damerjog Industrial Park.
President of the Republic of Djibouti H.E. Mr. ISMAEL OMAR GUELLEH honored the arrival of the region's largest floating dock at the Port of Djibouti, in the presence of the Chairman of GHIH & DPFZA Mr Aboubaker Omar Hadi.
Over 40,000 ships pass through the Bab El Mandeb Strait each year.
The Ship Repair Yard and floating dock, wholly owned by Great Horn Investments Holding, are part of the continuous effort to establish Djibouti as a world-class maritime and port services hub.
A delegation led by HE. Sheikh Faisal Bin Thani, was warmly welcomed by their Excellencies, the Djiboutian Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Economy and Finance, Transport, Higher Education, the Chairman of DPFZA Aboubaker Omar Hadi and the CEO of the Sovereign Fund.
The high level meeting was held on july 24th 2023 at the Red Sea World with officials from Qatar Investment Authority.
