Successful Repair and Maintenance of M/V ABU YASSER II at DSRY
On Thursday, April 17th, the Djibouti Ship Repair Yard (DSRY) began work on the vessel at 05 PM.
The repair and maintenance work included:
• cleaning the hull and bottom with high-pressure equipments,
• applying premium and anti-fouling coating,
• polishing the propeller, and replacing old zinc anodes with new ones.
• Additional tasks involved hull scraping, bilge cleaning, welding, and painting to ensure the vessel's optimal performance.
The work was completed on schedule and to a high standard, marking a successful work for the shipyard.
On Thursday, April 24th, the M/V ABU YASSER II was successfully undocked and back at sea at 04:45 PM.
It is now stationed at Berth 6, loading 16,614 heads of livestock, which are categorized as follows:
• 16.009 Sheeps.
• 605 Camels.
