This is the SPAR CAPELLA, the Norwegian vessel was carrying 50,000 tons of coal, destined for Ethiopia.

As the port has seen Gas Tankers, this ship is the first Bulk carrier in the port of Tadjourah.

The arrival of SPAR CAPELLA also marks the beginning of the operations of the third road corridor, but also the 4th in general connecting our country to Ethiopia.
120 km long, this road, also called the RN11, was inaugurated by the President of the Republic, in November 2019.
The customs of two countries and other institutions in charge of the corridor are already settled in the port of Tadjourah for customs formalities and allow an accelerated delivery procedure.

More than 1,250 trucks were loaded to transport this first 50,000 tons of coal and took the corridor road from the port of Tadjourah to Balho.
