VISIT OF MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF THE FEDERAL DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF ETHIOPIA

Today, the Chairman of Djibouti Ports and Free Zones Authority (DPFZA) had the honor of receiving a delegation led by His Excellency Dr. Gedion Timotheos, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, at the SGTD and DMP facilities.

During the meeting, the Chairman presented the following key figures to the Ethiopian delegation:

-Ethiopian Ocean Freight: 300.000 Teus x 3000 = USD 900 million

-Ethiopian Inland Transportation: 300 000 Teus x 900 = USD 270 million

- Total Cost of the Ethiopian ocean and inland Transportation :USD 1.17 billion. -Port services for Djibouti/Ethiopia/ transshipment: USD 350 million annually.

The Minister was impressed by the exceptional quality of the facilities and the fact that they were entirely managed by an all-Djiboutian team.
