The work progress of DSRP at the heart of the discussions

On November 7th,2023, the Chairman of DPFZA, Mr. Aboubaker Omar Hadi held a tripartite meeting, at the Red Sea World, with Mr. Decio Tractenberg, Senior Investment Manager of INVEST INTERNATIONAL, and Mr. Rick van Dinteren, Project Manager of DAMEN GROUP. The focus of the discussion centered around the progress of the Djibouti Ship Repair Yard (DSRY) and the floating dry dock.

Given Djibouti's strategic location on one of the world's busiest sea routes, the need for adequate maintenance and dry-docking facilities is crucial.

The floating dock is under the ownership of Djibouti Ship Repair Yard, a subsidiary of Great Horn Investment Holding (GHIH). This modular dry dock is a unique addition to the region and was designed and constructed by Damen Group, a leading global player in the field.
